Nouman is a beneficiary of TVET Sector Support Programme. Memon Industrial Training Institute is implementing Competency-based training programmes in partnership with private sector and with the support of TVET Sector Support Programme since 2018. MITI has graduated more than 2,000 young people in 16 trades with 77% employment ratio. These programmes are supported by the TVET Sector Support Programme assisting GoP in training approximately 42,000 youth in Pakistan to learn competency-based skills through technical and vocational training. The TVET Sector Support Programme as one of its initiative promotes vocational training institutes to develop and provide tailor-made programmes for enterprises for the promotion of better employment prospects as per labour market requirements. The TVET Sector Support Programme is funded by the European Union, Federal Republic of Germany and the Royal Norwegian Embassy. The Programme has been commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and is being implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH in close collaboration with the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) as well as provincial Technical Education and Vocational Training Authorities (TEVTAs) and private sector organizations.
